The iPhone 5 will be a 4G LTE phone. This rumor is said to be "almost definite". What does this mean? It means the speed of your iPhone 5's internet connection could very well be faster than your home's broadband connection!

Because Apple just acquired Chomp, it is rumored that the App Store will get a little makeover. Chomp makes buying apps on your iPhone or iPad much easier. This would be great since there are tons of apps in the App Store!

Every year we hear rumors of a smaller iPhone. It's thought to be smaller and cheaper, like the iPod Nano. This year is no exception. It is thought that Apple needs a cheaper phone that will stand up against the budget-friendly Android phones.

The iPhone 4S is pretty good-lookin', but at 9.3 mm it could stand to be a little thinner. It is competing with slimmer phones like HTC One (7.8 mm) and the Motorola Droid Razr (7.1 mm) which offer a thinner style. A thinner iPhone would just be a sexier iPhone!
7: New and Better Processor
When the iPhone 4S was released, it was equipped with the same processor as the previously released, iPad 2. It is rumored that the iPhone 5 will have the same A5X processor found in the new iPad. This would mean a better all-around performance from the iPhone 5!
6: A Better Touchscreen
Do you often find yourself cursing your iPhone 4 or 4S touchscreen? Well, lucky you, it's rumored that the iPhone 5 will include an updated and more responsive touchscreen! This will especially be true if there is a design change, as a thinner iPhone will call for a new touchscreen.

We were disappointed when we found out the iPhone 4S didn't have a larger display. It's rumored that the iPhone 5 will have the same size screen, but a larger, 4" display. Everyone loves a bigger display!
4: A Longer Lasting Battery
Please say this is not just a rumor! All iPhone users can agree, a longer battery life would be amazing. The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a flat battery making it more powerful and including the LTE (Long Term Evolution) feature. Fingers crossed!

It has been rumored that Apple has a patent revealing a 3D eye-tracking based interface. This patent would eliminate the use of 3D glasses. It could mean 3D effects for gaming and more!

We were expecting a new design with the iPhone 4S, but were disappointed. This means the probability for a new design in the iPhone 5 is high. The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a sleek Unibody case look to it. Keep your fingers crossed!
1: Liquid Metal
Back in 2010, Apple bought the rights to "Liquidmetal Technologies". This stuff is crazy. Not only will it make the iPhone, lighter, it will make it thinner! The "liquid metal" would replace the glass screen and it would feel incredibly smooth, yet still be very durable.
