2012 Style: Stars Gone Wrong

#14 Not a Tie-Dye Occassion!

Ohhh Sarah….we love loving you, but this was wrong all over. Sarah Michelle Gellar told reporters she let her 2 year old pick out this Monique Lhuillier frock. Really? It’s the Golden Globes Ms. Gellar not a play-date in the park!

15: Prints Gone Awry
Kelly Clarkson recently showed off her slimmer frame (she’s shed 30 lbs.!) at the MuchMusic Video Awards, but did so in a print that was pointing to all the wrong places.
14: Not a Tie-Dye Occassion!

13: Man-Oh-Man
Alright, sans the scruffy icky beard and chest hair, we can see Gossip Girl star Penn Badgely’s female counterparts being able to somewhat pull this look off. We like him looking a little more put together.
12: Bare Buns are Always a No-No
Beyonce is beautiful, no doubt about it, BUT can we get some coverage near the derriere? The Givenchy gown she wore to the 2012 MET Gala was partly lined and why that lining didn't dip a little further south is beyond us. The black and purple feathers are a little cray-cray as well.
11: Black and White isn't Always a Classic
As proven by Chinese Pop Star Leo Kuat at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The calf-hitting pant-shorts with the open toed boots paired with black socks was so all over the place, rumor has it fans passed a bottle of Pepto Bismal as he walked by!
10: Reality Check
We’re bound to see someone photographed as much as Kim Kardashian get it wrong from time to time as she did in this Balmain Resort 2012 at Cannes a few months ago. The dress is hitting her in the wrong spot but could have been salvaged had it not been for those awful boots!
9: Mis-Matched Silliness
Sometimes celebs make us wonder if they’ve actually hired stylists, or, have they just closed their eyes, gone into a dark closet, picked a few items and hoped for the best. Seriously…does Kristen Stewart not have a mirror…or an honest friend? Sadly, in this photo, she’s representing Balenciaga at the recent MET Gala.
8: 1975 Called...
You know where this is going. And men, let Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Fashion Faux Pas be a lesson. Unless you’re on a basketball court, nobody wants to see your armpit hair. Especially at the Rock of Ages premiere.
7: Take Cover (or Just Find Some)!
While Fergie looks stunning at the 2012 Grammy Awards in tangerine, we could have done without seeing the black bra and bloomers. How gorgeous would she have looked if this Jean Paul Gaultier had been lined?
6: Brights Aren't Always Best
Coco Rocha attended the 2012 MET Gala wearing this vintage Givenchy suit. We could take this 100 different ways, but here’s one: Betty White…probably could pull this off and be lovely. And the pink hair swept to the side to point out that it somewhat matches? We're literaly at a loss for words.
5: An Utter Head-Scratcher
We get it. You’re a model. You’re beautiful and you have an amazing body. Anything looks amazing on you. That being said why would Tali Lenox choose to wear this Julian McDonald butt-baring gown to the Elle Style awards? The spider web applique on the train is bizarre as well.
4: Taking Accessories to a Whole New Level
Well here’s a way to assure yourself a spot at the front of any line (bar, restroom, buffet, etc.). Russian pop starlet Sasha Gradiva showed up to the 2012 Grammys in this interesting ensemble. Sadly, the dress is pretty, but we’re convinced nobody saw past the gun to see it!
3: What's She Hiding Under There?
Florence Welch resembles more of an awful 70’s lampshade than any type of style-star in this Alexander McQueen dress at the 2012 MET Gala.
2: A Red-Hooded Nightmare
Nicki Minaj has always had a “unique” style, but this look was over-the-top, even for her. Red Riding Hood or a nun’s habit, either way, this 2012 Grammy look was downright frightening!
1: Far Less than Fashionable
We get the statement, “Be original, be yourself, etc.” but Lady Gaga always makes us feel she’s hiding from something. Her costume-like choices take away from her beauty and while they may be appropriate for performances (or Halloween), we feel she could still stand-out in things less attention grabbing.
