15: It's Not a Relationship if it's Not Facebook Official
It seems silly. One click of the mouse and you've gone from "single" to "in a relationship." Yet it's absolutely crucial for Generation Y.
14: No Critical Thinking Skills
It's something that has to be developed from an early age. And no, having mad video game skills doesn't count. This requires reflection, forethought, and a touch of philosophy.
13: Laziness
Well... it's true. Look at past generations. How many generation Y people work the fields or walk 10 miles to school? The good news is, parents can always be blamed for this one.
12: Cnt Spel
Blame texting for this one. What was once short hand has evolved into something terrible. There's a lot to be said for the beauty of language. Give it a try.
11: Unrealistic Expectations
When everything has been handed to you on a silver platter, you start to expect it. A high paying job and game like Hugh? Why not? Get ready for a serious reality check.
10: Job Hopping
It used to be that you got a job right out of college and stuck with it until the CEO gifted you with the gold watch at retirement. It's not just workers that have changed, it's the entire job market.
9: Can't Commit
...to anything. To a partner, to a hobby, to our jobs. This may be true compared to previous generations. On the other hand, maybe we just have the nerve to move on from something that's not working.
8: Praise is Needed
Nowadays kids get a trophy just for showing up. This kind of pampering leads to, you guessed it, spoiled adults. Now where's our plaque for sending that important email?
7: Rudeness
If you go by etiquette standards, we're all total pigs. Texting at the table, keeping the cell phone on during a date, arriving late, the list is endless. A good dose of politeness never hurt anyone.
6: We Have a Short Attention Span
Years of flashing images, no more commercials, and fast paced games has taken their toll. Not many are too keen for a marathon War and Peace session anymore.
5: We Can't Live Without Technology
As a minimum, a fancy smart phone that cannot be lived without is a requirement. Take away this and they will die a little.
4: We Can't do Research
Continuing with technology, relying so heavily on Google for homework has taken a toll. Imagine a world without it... (20 years ago)
3: Everything is Handed on a Silver Platter
This stems from previous generations having things really tough and wanting to provide everything they went without to their children.
2: Living with Parents
This comes mostly from the job hopping and "being lazy." It is much easier to stay at home where everything is provided.
1: Overconfident
Technology has advanced a lot in the last few decades and our generation is benefiting from it. Things are done quicker and easier, which makes people leave things to the last possible moment.
