15: Heat!
It's a scientific fact that eating spicy foods can raise the endorphin-level in your brain, making you happier! We didn't really need science to tell us that Sriracha makes us happy, but it's always nice to know why.
14: It's Healthy (Kind of)
While it doesn't hold a lot of nutritional value, it does have fewer calories, sugars, and total carbohydrates when compared to ketchup. Just be careful: It's relatively high in sodium, and of course, the nutritonal information varies from brand to brand.
13: Sautéed Greens
Toss some olive oil, sliced garlic, and Sriracha into a pan with your favorite greens—spinach, chard, collard greens, whatever you like!—and you will be in for a flavorful surprise!
12: French Fries
While it's certainly not a traditional use of the sauce, Sriracha + french fries = AWESOME! Don't expect to see it your local McDonald's anytime soon, though.
11: Pickling/Brine
It's not for everybody, but if you like some good pickled veggies, try adding Sriracha to your brine. It's a great way to add some spice and color!
10: Eggs
You don't usually associate Sriracha with breakfast foods, but a little rooster sauce can really give your eggs a nice heat. It's WAY better than ketchup. It's a creative way to top off deviled eggs, too.
9: Soups
Is your Pho a little boring today? Is it not the spicy noodle soup that you were craving? Stir in a little Sriracha and see if that makes a difference. It did? Yeah, we thought so.
8: Chicken Wings
Hot wings are great, but Buffalo had it all wrong. Thailand really has the US beat when it comes to this spicy chicken treat. They're great with a little sour cream on the side, too.
7: The Rooster
Sriracha, or "Rooster Sauce" as it's sometimes known, is the only condiment we can think of that has its own mascot. The mustard monkey? The mayo mudfish? The ketchup cactus? We don't think so. The rooster even inspires some cool tattoos!
6: Spring Rolls
Gone are the days of the Americanized, bright-red sweet and sour sauce! Try it once, and you'll never want spring rolls without it again.
5: On Seafood
Sriracha makes a great compliment to fried seafood, like shrimp or fish sticks. Smother your favorite dish or serve it on the side as a condiment for dipping—you can't go wrong!
4: Sriracha Maple Glaze
It's simple: Combine Sriracha and some maple syrup, and you've got yourself a sweet and spicy glaze that's great for a steak, a stirfry, or a side of mushrooms (our favorite). Experiment with the proportions to find the flavor you like best!
3: Pronunciation
It's a bewildering label the first time you see it: Sriracha. How do you make an "sr" sound!? And what kind of word has a silent "R?" Never fear, we are here to help: sir-ra-cha. It just rolls off the tongue, but it's much better ON your tongue :)
2: Sandwiches
Everyone loves sandwiches, right? But lunch after lunch of the same thing can be a little unsatisfying. We recommend trying Sriracha on sliced beef, grilled chicken, or tofu/portobello sandwiches to really spice up your next lunch break!
1: White Rice
Take one of the most bland and boring staple foods, add Sriracha, and you've got a spicy kick in the face that can't be beat! Use a little or a lot, depending on how much heat you can take.
