His fiancee and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Erica Durance), tries to save his life. --You're right. It isn't a situation comedy.

Welcome to the 5th and final season of Damages. One of the show's two lead characters, Ellen, played by Rose Byrne, appears to have met her end. Considering Ellen and Patty Hewes, played by Glenn Close, were embroiled in an investigation of high-level corruption at the end of last season, the viewer is left to wonder: Did Ellen jump off the ledge? Or was she pushed? Watch DirecTV to find out.

You aren't going to believe us, but this is true. Honest. The show is call Hit and Miss. It stars Chloë Sevigny who has to put on an Irish accent and a prosthetic penis. Chloë is a transgender assassin who learns that she fathered a son. Really? Fer real? Yup. That's the premise. Tune in to DirectTV to catch it.

The Closer
Here come the last six episodes, the eighth season and, if the principals are to be believed, this is the last season too. Kyra Sedgewick, Golden Glober and Emmy-ite, takes on the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson of the Los Angeles Police Department one more time. A spin off called Major Crimes will star Mary McDonnell, Johnson's friendly foe. Okay, TNT, we're with you.

WINNING! The "actor" turned Train Wreck Charlie Sheen returns to television playing, basically, himself. Does the title sound familiar? Wasn't there an Adam Sandler movie called Anger Management? Dallas? Are we having some sort of flashback? Who shot JR? Who really cares. Because no one could come up with a better idea, this show that's been in suspended animation since 1991 is returning to the tube, with a vengeance. Much to our great regret, Victoria Principal will NOT be returning to the show, so we're left with the grey and wrinkled visages of Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy. Are you ready? Me neither.

This drama tells the unlikely story of a Las Vegas showgirl who gets married (1st odd fact) decides to move with her new husband to his sleepy coastal home town (2nd odd fact) and works for her mother-in-law at her ballet school (3rd odd fact). Sutton Foster struts her stuff as the ex-show girl at the barre.

HBO is bringing the big gun to its summer series, Aaron Sorkin. The man with the might pen (West Wing, etc.) is back with another show about a news room. The show is lit up with stars: Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Dev Patel, John Gallagher, Jr., Olivia Munn, Thomas Sadoski and the ever popular Sam Waterston. Can't wait!
