#15 Saving Hope

This reaches us from Canada via NBC. Here's the deal: There's a car crash. The Chief of Surgery at Toronto's Hope-Zion Hospital, Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) is badly injured. Harris ends up in a coma. Then, he discovers he can out out-of-body experiences and wander around the hospital. His fiancee and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Erica Durance), tries to save his life. --You're right. It isn't a situation comedy.

14: Hollywood Heights
Nick at Nite brings us the story of two best friends, mothers groovy and uptight, a skeezy brother, a rich girl, a rock star, his model girlfriend and manager. All these people come together into an 80 (that's 8 - 0). The US television industry -- still unable to come up with original ideas -- has turned its jaded eye South of the Border and noticed a popular Mexican telenovella. Olé! Olé! Olé!

12: Teen Wolf
We're howling at the moon for season 2. MTV brings us the darker side of werewolf-ism: blood, guts, gore. This is not a safe place. Tyler Posey returns to his role as alpha dog. Bow wow! Hope he's housebroken!

10: Damages
Welcome to the 5th and final season of Damages. One of the show's two lead characters, Ellen, played by Rose Byrne, appears to have met her end. Considering Ellen and Patty Hewes, played by Glenn Close, were embroiled in an investigation of high-level corruption at the end of last season, the viewer is left to wonder: Did Ellen jump off the ledge? Or was she pushed? Watch DirecTV to find out.

You aren't going to believe us, but this is true. Honest. The show is call Hit and Miss. It stars Chloë Sevigny who has to put on an Irish accent and a prosthetic penis. Here come the last six episodes, the eighth season and, if the principals are to be believed, this is the last season too. Kyra Sedgewick, Golden Glober and Emmy-ite, takes on the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson of the Los Angeles Police Department one more time. A spin off called Major Crimes will star Mary McDonnell, Johnson's friendly foe. Okay, TNT, we're with you.
7: Anger Management
WINNING! The "actor" turned Train Wreck Charlie Sheen returns to television playing, basically, himself. Does the title sound familiar? Wasn't there an Adam Sandler movie called Anger Management? Yup. Why come up with something original when there are so many half-baked ideas already out in the market? Thanks FX. I wasn't exactly looking for Tom Stoppard, but ...
6: Snooki & JWoww
I know! These two girls got too big for The Jersey Shore and are being spun off into their own show wherein they will terrorize Atlantic City. Look: This might be exciting. Snooki is preggers. Will it be a human? Watch MTV to find out.
5: Dallas
Dallas? Are we having some sort of flashback? Who shot JR? Who really cares. Because no one could come up with a better idea, this show that's been in suspended animation since 1991 is returning to the tube, with a vengeance. Much to our great regret, Victoria Principal will NOT be returning to the show, so we're left with the grey and wrinkled visages of Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy. Are you ready? Me neither.
4: Bunheads
This drama tells the unlikely story of a Las Vegas showgirl who gets married (1st odd fact) decides to move with her new husband to his sleepy coastal home town (2nd odd fact) and works for her mother-in-law at her ballet school (3rd odd fact). Sutton Foster struts her stuff as the ex-show girl at the barre.
3: True Blood
Welcome to season 5! We're weak with excitement, or perhaps I'm anemic, for some unaccountable reason. 12 episodes are in the queue. ...And best of all, the ever lovely Anna Paquin has returned for the season.
2: The Newsroom
HBO is bringing the big gun to its summer series, Aaron Sorkin. The man with the might pen (West Wing, etc.) is back with another show about a news room.
