9: Mulan
Mulan is set in China during the Han Dynasty. The main chracter is the only daughter of aged warrior Fa Zhou. She impersonates a man and takes her father's place during a general conscription to counter a fictitious Hun invasion led by Shan Yu.

Belle is a young book-loving woman living in a small French town. Her father, Maurice, is on his way to a fair, and goes missing. When their horse Phillipe comes back without him, Belle rides to a mysterious castle in possibility of finding him.

This princess is the youngest daughter of King Triton. Often rebellious, she longs to be a part of the human world. At the end of the movie she marries Prince Eric, whom she rescued from a shipwreck.

Jasmine is the daughter of the wealthy Sultan of Agrabah. Unwilling to marry any of the princes her father suggests, she runs away from home. In the streets of the city, she gets in trouble and meets Aladdin.

Luckily the good fairy Merryweather had not presented a gift yet and is able to change the curse to sleep instead of death.
