#15 Portia de Rossi

We fell in love with her on "Arrested Development" and she continues to amaze on ABC's "Better Off Ted". Her characters are amoral and incredibly self-involved, and she makes it look so good.

15: Portia de Rossi
We fell in love with her on "Arrested Development" and she continues to amaze on ABC's "Better Off Ted". Her characters are amoral and incredibly self-involved, and she makes it look so good.
14: Retta Sirleaf
Relative new-comer Retta has found a warm place in our hearts with her character Donna Meagle on "Parks and Recreation". Her one-liners and zingers are arguably some of the best on the show: "Dating is a zero-sum game, if you get a man, I don't get that man"-pure gold.
13: Emma Stone
Emma is a great and somewhat recent talent, who manages to upstage some pretty formidable castmates. She was brilliant in "Superbad" and has proven that she can go beyond comedy in the recent "The Amazing Spider Man". We love her quirky, sweet characters and her adaptability to different genres.
12: Kristin Schaal
Kristin Schaal has been making us laugh on "Flight of the Conchords" for awhile now. Her sweet face coupled with the hilariously inappropriate things she says is comedy gold. Her characters range from quirky to creepy and we love every one of them.
11: Mindy Kaling
Best known for her quirky and lovably obnoxious Kelly Kapoor on "The Office", Mindy actually got her start as a writer for the show at only 24 years old as the only female on staff. She is easily one of the funniest characters on the show. We love her relentless pursuit of Ryan and her endless pop-culture references, and we hope to see much more of her in the future.
10: Rashida Jones
Best known for her roles on "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" Rashida is great at playing the girl-next-door who finds herself surrounded by dysfunctional employees and their wacky hijinks. She is smart, talented, and holds her own against many of comedy's tried-and-true veterans such as Amy Poehler and Steve Carell.
9: Sarah Silverman
She is equal parts cute and crass. Her stand-up is hilariously original and her show is a huge hit for people who like her unique and often abstract brand of comedy.
8: Maya Rudolf
This SNL star has gone on to prove she can be just as successful and beloved on the big screen. Her role in "Bridesmaids" solidified her place as one of Hollywood's top funny women, and we love her versatility-she does great accents (remember her as the host of Bronx Beat and her amazing take on Donatella Versace?) and she even has a pretty darn good singing voice. She can do it all.
7: Julia Louis-Dryfus
Formerly of "Seinfeld" fame, this "The New Adventures of Old Christine" star is much loved for her neurotic and loud-mouthed characters. Elaine will always hold a dear place in our hearts!
6: Lizzy Caplan
We love Lizzy Caplan. She's jaded, sardonic, and hilariously sarcastic. Best know for her roles in "Mean Girls" and "Party Down", she's the underdog we love to root for.
5: Isla Fisher
This "Wedding Crashers" star got her start in Australian television, and later went on to marry funny man Sacha Baron Cohen. We love her for her adorably quirky and incredibly likeable on-screen personas.
4: Jane Lynch
Jane, best known for her roll on Glee, is great at dead-pan humor and verbal fisticuffs. Her delivery is genius and her insults cut so deep- no one can drop those catty lines with such perfectly honed indifference. She is an inspiration to jaded misanthropes everywhere.
3: Anna Faris
Probably best known for her slap-stick in movies such as "House Bunny" and the Scary Movie franchise, Anna is charming in her goofiness and always willing to do some pretty ridiculous physical comedy, which we find very brave in Hollywood.
2: Tina Fey
Getting her start as a writer for SNL, Tina Fey eventually became one of the most popular cast members in SNL history. Now with equal success in tv-with shows like "30 Rock"-and film alike-the movie "Mean Girls"-Tina is one of the funniest writer-comedians of her generation.
1: Amy Poehler
From Upright Citizens Brigade to SNL to Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler is simply the best. Her characters are so brilliantly funny and loveable, it's no wonder her career has spanned two decades. From sketch comedy to movies like "Blades of Glory" Amy has a solidified a place for herself in comedy's hall of fame, and she's showing no signs of slowing down.
